Mulgrave Community Centre – Hall Bookings and Hall Grants

Salaams to our USMAA Community,

USMAA Committee has submitted the application to Monash Community Grants Program for the “Halls Only” Grants. This is the title of the Grants application, which has been lodged and submitted on the City of Monash Portal – Smarty Grants. This was submitted on the 1st March 2023.

USMAA Committee had already applied to hire this hall (for the next three years) back in November 2022.

The “Hall Only” Grant application is the next step for the hire and bookings of this hall for the period 1 July 2023 – 30 June 2026. This grant application is for the next cycle of three years. This grant when approved is given “in kind”, hence it is not a cash grant, is then applied towards the fee of the hall bookings application.

Insha-Allah – We ask the Almighty Allah to make this application successful. Ameen.

The outcome is usually announced by the month of May.

USMAA invites contributions from members and well-wishers for many projects USMAA undertakes every year! These projects are undertaken to help Muslims in Australia, Sri Lanka and some Muslim countries or communities in urgent need of financial assistance.

USMAA plans every charity project diligently and will make available information of every project on the USMAA website, with details of beneficiaries. Your generous contributions to help our Muslim umma in any form will be greatly rewarded in sha Allah.

Sadaqah and Fitra Contributions

USMAA has now made it easy for all our members to make their Sadaqah & Fitra contributions! USMAA will collect all payments and distribute the funds to the needy in the prescribed channels of distribution as per the USMAA constitution.

You don’t have to wait any longer to bring cash at the last minute to the mosque or to any USMAA events. Instead, pay your Fitra early or donate generously as Sadaqah. May Allah Almighty reward you. Ameen!

FITRA Contributions are now closed

USMAA Community Centre

USMAA Centre is the long-cherished dream of Sri Lankan Muslims living in Melbourne. USMAA invites contributions from anyone wishing to contribute to this development.

In sha Allah, with the blessings of the Almighty, we seek contributions especially from the Sri Lankan Muslim community to make this a reality. Funding from other sources is most welcome and we would like to engage many contributors and well-wishers to make this a successful project. The plan at this stage is to have this Centre completed in a 3-year timeframe, hopefully by year 2025. The details of this project have already been shared with the membership previously and is available on the USMAA website. In the meantime, your contributions to this project are most welcome and your generosity will be greatly rewarded in sha Allah as a Sadakah Jaariyah.
