Eid-Al-Fitr Dinner – 2021

May 22, 2021

USMAA was glad to organise an Eid Dinner after a lapse of 2 years due to COVID19. It was amazing to see our members turn up in great numbers to show their support and enthusiasm in attending events physically once again. An amazing dinner was on offer and it was heartwarming to see everyone having a great time.

We were privileged to have with us on the day the following special guests.

  • Federal Assistant Minister for Multicultural Affairs and Community Safety Hon Jason Wood MP
  • Federal MP Julian Hill
  • Mayor of the City of Monash – Brian Little
  • Senior Adviser to Hon Jason Wood MP and President of WeCare Victoria – Mr. Ranj Perera
  • Consul General of Sri Lanka to Victoria, South Australia & Tasmania – Mr. Kapila Fonseka
  • Consul at the Consulate General of Sri Lanka in Melbourne – Ms. Diana Perera
  • President of Islamic Council of Victoria – Mr. Adel Salman
  • President of Australian Advocacy for Good Governance in Sri Lanka (AAGGSL) – Mr. Lionel Bopage

It was incredible to hear from some of the members above on their commitment to the betterment of a multicultural Australia and we hope that we continue to receive their support for years to come.

An art workshop for kids was held in parallel to keep the little ones entertained and make the event one for the whole family.
